Over the last few years I have developed a keen interest for hosting workshops and presentations. It all started when I was asked to speak about Anti-oppressive practices to several music therapy teams and creative arts organisations. The feedback from that workshop continued to build traction and allowed opportunities to present on other topics such as:
Self Care: A Creatives Guide for Avoiding Burnout
Musicians, dancers, actors, and artists of all kinds usually put self-care on the back burner in the pursuit of their passions. Eventually, that creative adrenaline wears off and we need tools to manage life outside of flow state.
Music as self-care
There are many psychosocial and physiological benefits that we access when engaging in music. This can be through passive listening to music, this can be through actively engaging in music with others, this can be even simply going to a musical event. What would happen if we knew how to utilize these benefits for our own self-care practices?

This program specifically gives strategies for:

Knowing how to respond to conflict (when intention and impact don't match),
