Introducing “Mandy’s Mom, The Music Therapist”

I’m proud to announce a special project that I have been working on over the last year! Mandy’s Mom, The Music Therapist is a Children’s book detailing the events of Mandy’s day at Long-term care with her mom, a certified music therapist. 📚

This has been a passion project of mine because I knew there was a gap in knowledge here. I personally didn’t find out about music therapy until I was looking for programs to study in university! Why not fill this gap? I want youth to know this is an achievable profession to dream about and aspire toward much earlier than I did.

This book can be used as an advocacy tool for music therapists within their practice. It can also be used as an intervention as the story is told rhythmically making it easy to accompany with a melody of your choosing!

This book can also be useful for long-term care homes and seniors facilities to use and learn about the benefits of music therapy with this population.

I am so excited for all music therapists, educators, parents, creative arts therapists, music enthusiasts, and lovers of books to get their hands on this in March 2020!
